Penyalahgunaan obat-obatan dan alkohol di kapal

-Penyalahgunaan obat-obatan dan alkohol secara langsung mempengaruhi kebugaran dan kemampuan seseorang untuk melaksanakan tugas jaga
-Jika seseorang berada dalam pengaruh obat-obatan dan alkohol maka tidak boleh melaksanakan dinas jaga sampai kemampuannya tidak lagi terganggu

Peraturan harus dibuat, yaitu :
-Bahwa kadar alkohol dalam darah tidak boleh lebih dari 0,08%
-Dilarang mengkonsumsi alkohol di dalam waktu 4 jam menjelang tugas jaga dilaksanakan

Tujuan pengaturan Psikotropika :
1. Menjamin ketersediaan psikotropika guna kepentingan pelayanan kesehatan dan ilmu pengetahuan
2. Mencegah terjadinya penyalahgunaan Psikotropika
3. Memberantas peredaran gelap Psikotropika

Pengaturan Narkotika bertujuan :
1. Menjamin ketersediaan narkotika untuk kepentingan pelayanan kesehatan dan pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan
2. Mencegah terjadinya penyalahgunaan narkotika
3. Memberantas peredaran gelap narkotikaa

General Provisions

1. Master means the person having command on the ship
2. Officer means a member of the crew, other than the master, designated as such by national law or regulations or in the absence of such designation by collective agrement or custom

4. Chief Mate Officer next in rank to the master and upon whom the command of the ship will fall in the event of the in capacity of the master
5. engginer Officer Means an officer qualified in accordance with the provisions of chapter III of the convention
6. Chie Engginer means the senior engginer officer responsible for the mechanical propulsion and the operation and maintance of the mechanical and electrical installations of the ship.
7. Second Engginer Officer means engginer officer next in rank to the chief engginer officer and upon whom responsibility for the mechanical and electrical installation of the ship will fall in the event of the incapacity of the chief engginer officer
8. Assistant Engginer officer means a person under training to become an engginer and designated as such by national law or regulations
9. Radio Operator means a person holding an appropriate certificate issued or recognized by the administration under the provions of the radio regulation
10. Rating means a member of the ship's crew other than a master or an officer
